Talk with me before killing and he's just... a normal human in a fight. Sensing I am pretty sure that if you root too far into his head, you'll get an enormous, evil Eye staring back. Otherwise, he has a handful of rather recent, somewhat unimaginable traumas, but is dealing with them like a champ. (Right up to the point where he will stop.)
