When was the first time you celebrated? Do you remember?

I don't, really. Had to have been young, I think. I mean, they were always in and out, but the years they were home.. Those were good.

[ Martin smiles warmly for Tim, and means it. ]

I'm really glad for that. For you. To have really good memories like that.

[The return grin is warm and he scoots to make room on the couch for Martin. ]

What about you? Like, I know the office potluck gets killer this time of year.

[Martin hums uncertainly, sitting down and chewing on the question.]

The ones from my early days in The Institute were...okay. They weren't properly fun and good until I got into The Archives with everyone. [he smiles, thinking back.] Like that year you got so locked that you nearly did a striptease on your desk? Or that time Sa- [WAIT NO ABORT] Ah, erm. Remember when I did that horrible ostrich impression?

[The near miss only gets a bit of freeze, but Tim shoulders past it well enough when Martin does.]

I don't know. The owl impression you did when I started on the buttons was almost as good.

[NOOOOOOOO why did you bring that up!!! Martin buries his face in his hands!]

Oh GOD I forgot about that...

[A PLAYFUL NUDGE. Oh no, NO MERCY HERE.]

You could forget? I am offended.

Because I WANTED to! You didn't stop making fun of me for weeks and now I expect it'll start up all over again.

[There's a pause, a slight exhale and he gives a much more light nudge here.]

[Martin freezes and stares at Tim, wide-eyed and uncertain.]
