[ if Martin's been hovering around the Jons more than usual, that can be forgiven, right? so it's not long before Martin shows up with a small smile as a greeting and two mugs of hot chocolate, one of which he sets down in front of Jonah before sitting next to him.

peaceful silence settles between them for a minute or so before Martin lets out a quiet sigh. ]

[He looks at the hot chocolate, then Martin next to him, then back up at the decorations.]

Seems that way. You all certainly made sure of it.

It's been...a hard year. So... [ a half-hearted shrug. ] Even more reason to pull out all the stops, yeah?

[eyediot]

...That's a fair way to look at it, yes.

['Hard', hah. He reaches for the hot chocolate to hold between his hands for a few moments before taking a sip.]

I'm glad you're here, Martin.

[ oh, why do you have to say such wonderful things Jonah, gosh, Martin's face just quietly lights up and his cheeks warm. ]

I'm fairly certain Tim will force me into it kicking and screaming, so I may as well come peacefully.

I think sometimes he may have been ready to do it quite literally.

[Just chuck that archivist over his shoulder and carry him in.]

There's a part of me that likes to think I'd help if Tim asked.
